March 8th was an emotional day at HC-One’s Bankwood care home in Duffield, as they welcomed their first indoor visitor since the easing of restrictions.
The first visit after the easing of restrictions was with son and daughter Sydney Cowlishaw and Tina Cowlishaw in the homes secure visiting room which has been especially designated for the inside visitors and with social distancing measures in place.
Tina and Sydney were so happy that the visit took place after not seeing each other for such a long time. Tina does keep in touch with her dad every Wednesday via Skype but said: “It is not the same as seeing Dad face to face.”
Residents were so happy to see their loved ones and again and look forward to getting out the home and for a walk around the area when restrictions ease a bit more in the future.
