Early Christmas card making at AshgroveThis month at Ashgrove in Dudley, which provides nursing and residential dementia care, Residents have been getting some Christmas prep done early.

Residents got their Christmas hats on and had their photo taken, these are planning to be put on their Christmas cards this year. There was a nice selection of different festive hats to choose from such as traditional Santa hats, elf hats, Santa stuck in a chimney hat, upside down Elf hats and just plain glittery hats. The cards will be sent out to their Relatives and friends.

There was lots of laughter during the photo taking and the hat choosing process, with a good amount of cheering going on after each photo. While this was happening, Christmas carols were also playing in the background to really set the mood.

Residents said afterwards how much fun they had, one Resident said, “What a lovely day, it’s been full of laughter and happiness” another Resident commented on how great Wellbeing staff did, especially the parade they put on!

Fiona, the Home Manager said afterwards “Everybody looked fantastic, so much cheer could be heard around the home today”.
