At the
Glen nursing and residential care home, in Shepton Mallet, Residents have been taking full advantage of the home’s sensory room this week, including relaxing music and soothing lights.
On 19th January, the sensory room was open, and Residents could come and go as they pleased; many dipped in throughout the day. It was an incredibly popular activity, and everyone involved agreed that they would love to have it as a regular session.
There were lots of relaxed smiles, that could be seen, throughout the day.
Bill Ellison, who lives at the home, remarked, “Oh wow, this looks amazing!”
Fellow Resident June Duffield, added, “It’s wonderful, really relaxing.”
Terri-Ann Weatherall, Care Home Manager, commented, “This is lovely. It would be nice to have a permanent room set up as the Residents look to love it.”
