Exciting changes happening at Avandale Lodge care home – soon to be Acorn MeadowAvandale Lodge care home, which offers residential dementia care in Lostock Gralam, are unveiling exciting plans this spring following a significant investment and refurbishment programme, which sees the home being reintroduced to the community as Acorn Meadow care home.

The 48-bedded care home is currently undergoing a significant investment and refurbishment programme totalling just under £300,000. When complete, the programme will provide a modernised living environment designed to enhance the quality of life for Residents, including dementia-friendly colour schemes and dedicated communal wellbeing areas.

Acorn Meadow will create a stronger alignment with HC-One’s sister home, Acorn Hollow, which shares the same site on Manchester Road, and will continue to provide a wider offering as a family of HC-One care homes in Northwich.

The home is hosting an Open Day on Wednesday 11th May from 2pm onwards, to celebrate the completion of the refurbishment and reintroduce Avandale Lodge to the local community as Acorn Meadow. The event will be a great opportunity to learn more about the exciting, upcoming plans, meet the team and chat with Residents.

Steve McCarthy, Care Home Manager, commented, “We are very excited about the changes happening at Avandale Lodge following the refurbishment programme and are looking forward to inviting everyone into our home for the Open Day in May.”
