Residents at HC-One’s Balfarg care home in Fife enjoyed a fun and active games afternoon, whilst following social distancing guidelines.
Some Balfarg Residents decided that, after all the sweets, chocolate and mince pies that had been consumed over the festive period, what was needed was a little exercise to shift those few unwanted pounds.
It had been difficult to set up games’ afternoon over Christmas with residents mainly in their rooms. However, the homes wellbeing co-ordinator Mhari, brought out a few games which could be played whilst still social distancing and they proved to be just the thing.
Balfarg Residents and Colleagues, Mhari Macrae, Les Carnegie, Pat Corrigan, Liz Wallace, Margaret Hutchison and Helen Scott really enjoyed an afternoon of exertion but laughter and fun.
Balfarg Resident, Helen Scott said: “That was great fun, I love the parachute, so many pretty colours.”
Balfarg Home Manager, Sharon Watson said: “What a joy to hear laughter, music and happy voices coming from our lounge again. You can see the difference in our residents already.”
