Residents at HC-One’s Sheffield based
Swallownest residential and nursing care home, have been coming up with ideas to brighten up the windows at the home, and the results are simply beautiful!
Wellbeing Coordinator, Dawn, sat with the Residents and discussed ways to brighten the home up with flowers for the windows. So, Dawn printed a selection of flowers and everyone got to work colouring in the designs.
Residents and staff have all enjoyed taking part on this project and even though they are nowhere near finished, the home is filled brightly coloured flowers now.
Many of our Residents have enjoyed taking part in this project, one commented, “I can’t tell you how much I have enjoyed colouring, I haven’t done it for years. They look absolutely beautiful. It’s looking like a stained-glass window.”
Dawn commented, “Our project will continue until our windows are a welcoming array of beautiful coloured flowers. We have already had lots of compliments!”
Amanda Fields, Home Manager, added, “The windows are looking so bright and colourful. They have all worked so hard!”
