Residents at
Brompton House nursing and residential care home, located in the Cotswolds, have been treated to some furry visitors today.
Activity Coordinator, Julie, had arranged for a visit today from some special furry friends and brought to the home two of her guinea pigs.
Four-legged friends Hazel and Teddy, who have both visited before, were very welcomed by all Residents and staff. It has been entertaining for the Residents all afternoon and the guinea pigs have had plenty of parsnips snacks from everyone.
Julie, ensured that all infection control requirements are met to maintain not only Residents’ safety but also the little furry friends.
One of the Residents, Betty (pictured), commented, “I love seeing animals and having little cuddles. It was nice we could see Hazel and Teddy, they are very well behaving.”
Julie added, “It has been very therapeutic day. There is nothing more fulfilling like watching the Residents engaging with animal therapy.”
