At Alexander Court residential and nursing care home, in Sheffield, Residents have been getting haircuts and attending the home’s garden party.
On Friday, Residents enjoyed a haircut and restyle from a member of the care team, who is also a trained hairdresser. Colleague Louise got to work and made Residents feel all pampered again.
Lillian, who is a Resident at the home, can’t wait for her next haircut and was pleased in getting it chopped after a long time waiting.
Also, at Alexander Court, today a garden barbecue party was held for the Queen’s birthday.
Residents and Colleagues enjoyed an outdoor party with drinks, cakes, a quiz and music all based around the British Monarch.
One Resident commented, “I would like to do this again on a sunny day!”
Jimitha Jacob, Care Home Manager, remarked, “A great afternoon was had by all, despite the weather as unfortunately the sun didn’t make an appearance for us.”
