Greater Manchester Residents go on garden centre tripOn 9th February Colleagues at the Beeches care home, which offers residential care in Dukinfield, took Residents for a trip to the garden centre marking their first trip out this year.

Wellbeing Coordinator Sade, together with Colleague Simone and Residents Susan and Christine, enjoyed a lovely walk round Nottcutts Garden Centre. They enjoyed looking at the fish, birds and hamsters in the pet part of the centre and then all took a short walk outside looking at the flowers and planning what they could plant in the gardens at the home.

The group ended their trip with a nice hot drink and cake, then on the way home they went for a leisurely drive in the local area. Susan and Christine recognised many places in the area which prompting lots of conversation, about the old cigarette factory senior service, where a lot of people in the area worked at the time.

Susan commented, “It was lovely to be out in the fresh air. I had a lovely morning being out the garden centre looking at all the plants ready for the garden.”

Sade added, “It has been lovely to take the ladies out.”
