Greenways Court making wishes come trueAt Greenways Court, residential and residential dementia care home, in Consett, have made another Residents dream come true.

The staff at Greenways Court are always keen for the Residents to be involved in many activities and enjoy their day.

After going around each of the Resident’s rooms to ask if they would like to have any wishes they would like to be set up, Maureen Urwin had a great idea.

Maureen had lived in the North East for 70 years and had never visited Beamish Museum and she has always wanted to go. The tickets were booked the tickets and arranged the minibus.

Afterwards Maureen said, “I had the most amazing day, the best in a long time.”

Two other Residents, Catherine Kirkley and Sue Earlam went along for the trips and Catherine, remarked, “It has been ages since I have been, and I have really enjoyed myself.”

The Residents stopped for lunch in the park, the local children were all running around, and it brought back many memories. It was a great day, and everyone was over the moon with the lovely weather we got.”

Care Home Manager, Kinga Kowaliczek, added, “At Greenways Court we love to give our Residents a chance to have their dreams come true. We love to see them smile!”
