Hayes care home Resident reminisces on International Nurses DayNurses do such important and selfless acts each and every day. At HC-One’s Aston House care home in Hayes, Colleagues thought it would be lovely to sit down with a Resident who used to be a Nurse and listen to her story.

Aston House Resident Alice was happy to sit down with Colleagues and discuss why she chose to be a Nurse in her younger days, where she worked and so on. Alice also shared some of her fond memories and expressed her earnest feelings of what it means to be a Nurse.

Based on what she discussed, Alice was surprised on being offered a small token of appreciation of a gift with a laminated poster with information about herself as a Nurse and with her photo on.

On seeing it she felt overjoyed at her accomplishments in life and thanked heartily saying, "what a lovely gesture, thank you."

Aston House Home Manager Seema Jose said: “Thank you to our wellbeing team for organising such meaningful activities and making our Residents feel special and appreciated.”

Aston House is part of a peaceful residential community in Hayes in Middlesex. This lovely, purpose-built care home with 48 beds offers residential memory and nursing memory care for those living with dementia.
