Residents at HC-One’s The Willows care home in Hinckley have made use of the recent warm weather to enjoy a flowering arranging afternoon.
On 20th April, the home received a beautiful delivery of flowers to brighten up the home, so Colleagues thought it would be a good idea to involve Residents and to set up a flower arranging afternoon.
Throughout the year, indoor plants and vases filled with flowers can be a real mood lifter - adding colour and sweet fragrance to the home’s environment. Flower arranging can also help elderly Residents in many ways, including boosting mood and happiness, promoting socialisation and reducing stress and anxiety.
The Willows Home Manager, Anna Nowak said: “I have order these in hope to bring smiles to Residents faces.”
