Residents at HC-One’s Hinckley Park care home in Hinckley, Leicestershire, have been putting on their party clothes and dancing shoes to celebrate the royal coronation.
The communal lounge of the 35-bed care home, that offers residential and nursing care, was packed to the rafters as Residents joined together to watch the Kings coronation celebration and take pride in an historic occasion.
After the service Residents and Colleagues gathered to enjoy a delicious array of food that had been prepared by the kitchen team and visiting staff members. Then later in the afternoon a live singer provided entertaining renditions of songs from across the eras, encouraging all the attendees to sing along and bop to the music.
Betty Truelove, Hinckley Park care home Resident, commented: "It was a great day. I'm never going to forget this."
Another Resident said: “This has been a fantastic week of excitement about the Kings coronation, all topped off with a party fit for a king!”
Sukai Drammeh, Care Home Manager, said: “What a wonderful occasion! It is lovely to see Residents enjoying themselves together on a day like this.”
