History club at Jesmond care homeResidents at HC-One’s Fleming Court care home in Jesmond, Newcastle-upon-Tyne enjoyed a history club meeting where they learned more about the ancient lost city of Pompeii.

The history club explored facts and figures about Pompeii, Residents who have visited Pompeii shared memories of their experience and everyone enjoyed watching a virtual tour of the site.

Afterwards, Residents enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea and chatted about what they had learned about Pompeii. Sheila, a Resident at Fleming Court said: “Interesting to learn about something you wouldn’t necessarily learn about in day-to-day life.”

Fleming Court Home Manager, Jackie Lothian said: “I am pleased that our history club enjoyed their meeting and are embracing technology to enrich their discussions.”
