Residents at HC-One’s Maple Lodge care home recently held a reminiscence sessions in which they discussed the holidays they had in their younger days.
The session brought back fond memories for Residents of where they went with their families, including places such as Spain, China and even as far as Africa on safari.
Residents discussed their favourite memories of their holidays, and why they enjoyed certain places so much. Rather than travelling abroad, some travelled through the United Kingdom, to places such as Wales and Cornwall, and opted for beach holidays closer to home.
Everyone looked through holiday brochures as they spotted countries they had been to, and spoke of the family memories and they shared their experiences, with some Residents discussing that they had been to the same place as another.
Sarah Dodd, Home Manager, commented: “It is so important for Residents to talk about their past experiences and share memories with one another. It’s been lovely to hear of their adventures.”
