At HC-One’s nursing care home in Wigan,
Carrington Court, Colleagues are counting themselves very lucky to benefit from Wigan and Leigh’s Hospice Care Home’s Training Team.
Throughout the year, the training team have not only supported the home with training programmes, but Colleagues also have status meetings to review all Residents. During the pandemic they have always been at the end of the phone.
Rebecca Asprey, Home Manager, commented, “Our team fully embraced this and this has had a notable impact on the care that is provided and improved confidence levels.”
“Our amazing clinical lead, Lizzy Hutton won ‘Nurse of the Year’ which is so well deserved and then the whole team won ‘Care Setting of the Year’.”
Lizzy was speechless and didn’t know what to say; she was very humbled.
Rebecca continued, “I am really very proud – an amazing team who genuinely care about the Residents and the Relatives.”
