Today at
Woodlands View in Hertfordshire, which provides residential, nursing and nursing dementia care, Resident’s enjoyed the International Beer Lover’s Day.
The Residents all got together and enjoyed some quality time, all whilst being able to sample a range of different beers. There were also milkshakes and lemonade on offer for those who didn’t want to choose beer – but most did!
As you can imagine, the topic of conversation was built around the beer, speaking about their favourite choice, and which ones they enjoyed most on offer to them. They also spoke about their favourite foods and just generally got to know everybody a little better.
Speaking with the Residents after, their favourite part of the day was meeting up with the other Residents and enjoying the nice drinks. Amy, one of the Residents had said “Its lovely to meet up in a group and have some lovely conversations”. Another Resident, Cathryn, said that “I enjoyed this so much as I love beer!”
Deby O’Hare, the Home Manager, said that “It was a lovely fun way for the Residents to gather and get to know the new Wellbeing Coordinator”.
