Jubilee fun at Cedar HouseResidents at Cedar House, nursing and nursing dementia care home, in Middlesex, had a wonderful time celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

A weeks’ worth of celebrations took place at Cedar Court, there was something for everyone to enjoy.
Residents got involved in making decoration and preparing for the various celebrations. The home was decorated with lots of paper chains and Union Jacks. It looked fantastic.

Throughout the week there was various crafts, games, quizzes, and sing-a-longs. The Resident particularly enjoyed watching all of the events on the TV.

The highlight of the week was the garden party which everyone had been looking forward too. There was a beautiful buffet laid out which included lots of delicious treats. There was lots of singing, dancing, and karaoke as well as a Cedar House Proms.

Dorothy, a Resident, said, “I really enjoyed the dancing.” Some of the Residents wore tiaras, crowns, and themed headbands to the party which they had previously made throughout the week. They looked absolutely dashing.

John, another Resident, added, “That was great fun can we do this every day.”

Samantha, the Wellbeing Coordinator, remarked, “It was lovely to see all the residents and staff enjoying themselves and making this special day.”
