Keen Residents at Huyton care home create reflection gardenAs the UK are coming up to the year’s mark of the national lockdown, Colleagues and Residents at HC-One’s Roby Lodge care home, on Merseyside, took today to reflect on the past year and decided that it would be the appropriate day to open the ‘Reflection Corner’ in the garden.

This outdoor space is a place where anyone can all sit and think about people who have been lost over the past year.

One Resident commented, “Although we are not fully out of this, it is lovely that we are finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel.”

Residents Sheila Shard and Trudie Dalton, both pictured, have been getting the corner of the garden ready. Sheila is a really keen gardener, she loves seeing all the different plants and giving advice on where to plant certain bulbs. Trudie commented on what a lovely thing this was to be a part of.

Home Manager, Lisa Casey, remarked, “We are really proud of how both our staff and Residents have all coped so well with all the changes we have been through this past year. The people we have lost during this pandemic will forever be in our hearts.”
