Knotty Ash Residents mark Remembrance DayAt HC-One’s Ash Court residential care home, in Liverpool, Residents have been getting involved in all the Remembrance Day activities.

Colleagues at the home helped Residents to make poppies whilst having a good sing-along and reminiscing about the time during the war and sharing stories with each other.

One Resident, Jessie, told everyone how she used to leave notes in the parachutes which she helped make for the soldiers fighting away from home.

A selection of food was served for Residents including deviled eggs and a selection of drinks. In doing so, the home raised a small amount for the Royal British Legion.

Emma Leigh, Care Home Manager, remarked, “It was a very proud and emotional day listening to stories of wartime. All Residents enjoyed reminiscing among each other.”
