Today at HC-One’s
Ashton View residential memory care, nursing and nursing memory care home, in Wigan, Residents had a drive out to Southport.
Nelly, Annie and Alice, who all live at the home, fancied a nice day out so Maintenance Colleague Gary booked the minibus out and drove the Residents and wellbeing Colleagues Stacey and Ann Marie out.
Equipped with a packed lunch, everyone involved got to Southport and did a lovely walk along the beach front, pond and pier (although the weather was typically British!)
At the café, there was a live singer, so everyone ordered hot drinks and watched the singer whilst having their lunch.
Annie said, “Whoever had the idea for a drive today, please say thank you, it’s been beautiful!”
Manager, Demelza James, commented, “Stacey and Ann Marie are certainly doing an awesome job of looking after the mind, body and soul of our precious Residents.”
