Leeds care home Residents get their coronavirus vaccinationsResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Aberford Hall in Roundhay have now received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine.

Aberford Hall is now one step closer to returning to normality and Residents are looking forward to eventually being reunited with their families.

Home Manager, Bev DePlacido, and Resident John Hay led the group by force after being the first in the home to get their vaccinations.

John said: “I was over the moon to have Bev join me in having our vaccination together. We have been counting the days to getting our vaccinations and we feel like this is the start of beating this pandemic.”

The vaccinations were carried out Dr Harding of the nearby Park Edge Medical Practice as part of a mass rollout across the UK.

The vaccine is currently being administered to Residents and Colleagues in care homes under guidance from the Department of Health.

Aberford Hall Home Manager, Beverley, commented: “I felt is was very important that as the Home Manager I had my vaccination and I have been promoting all staff and Residents to follow.”
