Dedicated leader and Home Manager Nicola Walker, of
Clarendon Hall residential and nursing care home, in Humberston, was presented with an award on 14th December, much to everyone’s delight!
Nicola received the ‘Medal of the British People’ with the award of the MBP. The award was in honour of ‘Exemplary Nursing and Leadership of a Social Care Team’. Colleague and Registered General Nurse Amy Powell had nominated her earlier in the year and had been in regular contact throughout the whole process.
The Colleagues and Residents gathered to surprise Nicola with the presentation, to which she had no idea she would be receiving.
Everyone at the home is extremely proud of her, it is a very well-deserved award.
Amy remarked, “Nicola, all the staff here at Clarendon wanted to let you know how proud we are of you.”
The Residents loved watching Nicola receive her award and offer congratulations. Ann, who lives at Clarendon, said it was “Well deserved!”
Nicola commented, “I just couldn't do it without all of you, and I want to say thank you too.”
