A local care home has made a donation of arts and crafts materials to support a nearby primary school.
Residents and staff at HC-One’s
Dovedale Court care home, in Wednesbury, created 44 bags of stencils, pencils, puzzles, games, and note pads for use by teachers and pupils at Holyhead Primary School.
The materials had been given to the care home by suppliers and residents felt they would be best used by the local schoolchildren.
Laura Squires, Wellbeing Coordinator at Dovedale Court care home, said:
“It was lovely to see residents working together to help local children, and to see how happy the children were with the gift bags.”
Vera Edwards, resident at Dovedale Court care home, said:
“We really enjoyed doing something kind for the local community.”
