February has been a very busy time in the Garden for Residents at The Hornchurch care home in London.
The garden needed a complete make over after a long winter, with weeds taking over, bushes over growing and garden furniture was looking tired. After looking at the garden and seeing what needed to be done, Colleagues got their hands dirty as soon as they could, to enable Residents enjoy it.
The tidying is all taking time but its already starting to look tidier and even the birds of many varieties have started to visit.
Resident Martin loves nature and is very keen to come down every day and sit in the garden with his binoculars and camera. If Martins not in the garden he is in the lounge birdwatching.
“I love the way the garden is taking shape and I am so happy I can come down and watch all the birds,” said Martin.
