Residents at HC-One’s Tower Bridge care home in Southwark, took part in some activities this week to raise awareness of mental health and wellbeing.
All the activities that Colleagues put on for Residents were intended to have a positive effect on Residents mental wellbeing and overall health, to promote physical activity.
On May 10th, Residents gathered in the home activities area to start there day of dun. One of the first games was to keep a balloon up off the floor and to hit it to other Residents, which improved Residents strength and fitness but also promoted social and teamwork skills as well as making Residents laugh.
Other activities included Residents drawing pictures of their favourite landmarks and colouring in pictures in a colouring book. The activities really got Residents thinking and they really enjoyed the day.
