Residents and staff at
Claremont care home, in Ayrshire have been busy with lots of fun activities in August.
To kick off the summer festivities, Claremont hosted a fantastic summer fete which took place in the garden on the grounds of the home.
There was so much going on which included stalls, baked goods, lucky dips, book stalls, face painting and a children’s corner. There were many prizes donated by Relatives and staff for the tombola and lucky dips.
Residents invited along their families along with people from the local community, as well as the staff’s family members.
There were lots of people who attended the summer fete and everyone had a great time. The highlight of the day were the Residents enjoying ice cream provided by the ice cream van. There was also a surprise appearance from entertainer, Mr Sunshine.
Another exciting activity at Claremont was a couple of furry visitors came to see the Residents.
Therapy dogs Luca were very excited to meet all the Residents and their families.
The Residents always look forward to seeing Luca and love to give him a huge cuddle and stroke.
One Resident, commented, “I love dogs, especially this one.”
Catherine Potts, Care Home Manager, commented, “The Residents have loved seeing the therapy dog and having lots of fun at the summer fete. Its been a great start to the summer.”
