Residents at HC-One’s Barton Brook care home in Manchester made a new fluffy friend during their pet’s club event.
Barton Brook Residents, especially those on Moss House absolutely love the pet club. The residents feed, watch and hold the chickens that live on Moss House outside in the garden area.
The chickens are called Henrietta, Davina and Vader. They are very unique characters and are a very nice asset to Moss House. Animals are a great way to combat feelings of loneliness and isolation many Residents feel.
They can help alleviate symptoms of depression and anxiety and have even been found to reduce physical health issues like high blood pressure and cholesterol.
