Millbrook care home Residents delighted by keyboard entertainerAt Stalybridge’s The Millbrook residential care home, Residents were pleased to sing along to an entertainer, who visited the home and played songs on the electric keyboard.

The home’s wellbeing team organised for Anthony Lye to visit the care home on Tuesday 21st June. Bringing his electric piano and playing various tunes from the 1930s, up to the 1960s, including lots of well-known songs from Perry Como, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Vera Lynn.

The Residents sat in the home’s Hibbert lounge and enjoyed listening to him sing and joining in with all the tunes that they knew.

Hot drinks and a choice of donuts or lemon sponge were just some of tasty treats on offer throughout the performance.

Jackie and Hilda, who live at the home, both commented, “He is so good on that piano.”

Claire Jones, Home Manager, added, “The Residents love joining in, there were a few feet tapping!”
