The Residents of
Mossdale in York which offers residential care, memory care and professional nursing, enjoyed supporting the Macmillan Coffee Morning and listening to songs from the musicals.
Twelve of the Residents joined together in supporting Macmillan and enjoyed a selection of cakes and homemade scones, and lots of latte’s and cups of tea!
They then listened to music played from the fifties and had a good sing along and even a dance.
One of the Residents, commented, “It was lovely to hear the music from my era”.
Then on another day, the Residents were treated to a performer that came to the home.
Operatic singer, Malcolm Watson performed songs from the musicals and other favourites which included, Elvis Presley and Tom Jones and many more.
One Resident remarked, “Malcolm has such a powerful voice”.
Throughout Malcolm’s performance, the Residents enjoyed afternoon drinks, tea and cakes
Michelle Pepworth, Care Home Manager, said, “It is so nice to see the Residents having a good time on both occasions, it was a lovely atmosphere”.
