MP enjoys visit to Plas Cwm Carw Care HomePlas Cwm Carw Care Home in Port Talbot, Wales, was pleased to welcome Aberavon’s MP, Stephen Kinnock, for a visit to the home on Friday 15th July.

Residents and Colleagues of the HC-One owned home enjoyed meeting their local MP and chatting to him about what life is like at Plas Cwm Carw – which is an integral part of the local Port Talbot community.

Lianne Seaward, Home Manager at Plas Cwm Carw, showed Stephen the tablet computers the home had recently purchased with an innovation grant received from Neath Port Talbot Council, and Stephen enjoyed having fun with the Residents and chatting about elections and the importance of voting.

Stephen Kinnock enjoyed a tour around the newly refurbished 66-bed purpose-built care home, including the beautifully landscaped garden, hair salon, new quiet lounge area, patio and en-suite bedrooms.

Plas Cwm Carw’s £100,000 refurbishment and upgrade is the result of a major £54.5 million investment programme launched by HC-One across more than 200 of their homes.
The upgrades to Plas Cwm Carw, which offers residential, nursing, and dementia care, mean that the home is more equipped than ever to meet the needs of Residents, Colleagues, and the local population now and in the future.
Lianne Seaward, Home Manager at Plas Cwm Carw Care Home, said:
