Nelson care home Residents get creative for Remembrance DayFor Remembrance Day at residential care and residential memory care home, Trafalgar Park, in Treharris, Residents decided to make a wreath to mark the occasion.

Working as a team, those involved cut out a wreath template from cardboard and the figures to represent the year 2021 and decorated them with poppy flowers and tissue paper.

There was a clever production line going on as Residents each had a different job to do, and it all came together to create something simply beautiful.

Sandra, Jane, Mair and Gemma all took part in the activity, while talking about the meaning of Remembrance Day. They most enjoyed sticking the colourful tissue and poppy flowers.

Steph Smart, Deputy Home Manager, remarked, “Carer Yasmin Smith carried the activity over into the afternoon along with Colleagues Taryn Williams and Kadie Edwards, by encouraging the Residents to sing along to war time favourite sons. And it was just lovely!”
