It’s been another busy month at HC-One’s
Knowles Court residential and nursing care home, in Bradford, with a few Resident birthdays as well as some special entertainers.
On 3rd October it was Silver Sunday and Grandparents Day. Colleagues and Residents helped to celebrate by having entertainment form ‘Christopher and the Robins’ to entertain Residents outside. They sang songs from the 40s, 50s and 60s eras which Residents enjoyed and sang along to.
Kathryn, who lives at the home said she enjoyed singing along to the entertainment.
Also, this month, the home has celebrated a couple of birthdays; to which Residents said they, “Thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the cakes made by the chefs.”
Gerry, who celebrated a birthday said the highlight was his wife and daughter visiting.
Fellow Resident Hilda, who also had a birthday, was emotional that she received lots of lovely gifts and couldn't thank the staff enough for a lovely day on her birthday.
Samantha Whinray, Care Home Manager, agreed, “We always have plenty going on and it has been lovely for the Residents.”
