Celebrations have been taking place this June at Nottingham’s
Fosse Way View care home this month, where Colleagues, Residents and Relatives have all come together this June to mark their first year of opening.
Fosse Way View care home open their doors to Residents for the first time on 1
st June 2021 and held their ribbon cutting ceremony on the 16
th later that month. It currently holds a fantastic rating on carehome.co.uk boasting a 9.9 overall score.
To mark the occasion, there was a popular local Beatles tribute band, The Fab Two, who were performing in the residential and residential dementia care home’s garden and the Residents had a wonderful time listening to them. The band performed many of The Beatles classic hits which inspired Residents to start singing along and getting up on their feet dancing.
Along with the entertainment, the Head Chef, Carol, had prepared a wonderful barbecue for everybody to enjoy, and also made some beautiful cakes for after. Many of the guests also enjoyed summer drinks with jugs of Pimms and Prosecco which were served outside and were well received by all!
Once the celebrations were in full swing, as a gesture of gratitude Colleagues presented Fosse Way View’s first three Residents with a gift each to mark the one-year anniversary of the home. It was a monumental day in Fosse Way View’s history, and everyone involved were very grateful for the gifts.
Along with Colleagues, Residents and their Relatives, Gareth Williams and Frances Perdu Horan who are Bingham’s Mayor and Bingham’s Local Councillor respectively, also attended the party topping off the celebrations of their first year.
Residents commented about the event, saying it was a fantastic day all round, with many highlighting that they really enjoyed spending the anniversary with their family, and of course, singing and dancing whilst enjoying some cake!
Brenda Stevenson, a Resident at Fosse Way View commented, “It has been a wonderful afternoon, so special, three generations of my family came along to celebrate with us!”
Mark Panter, a Relative of a Fosse Way View Resident went on to say, “Amazing team, amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing all round! A huge ’thank you’ to all at Fosse Way View.
