Throughout the last month at Stafford’s
Maple Court nursing and nursing memory care home, there have been celebrations all round with care awards and a summer party.
On Friday 23rd July, the wellbeing team jazzed up the home’s garden with all things relating to summer. Then they dressed in fancy dress and were ready to host the party.
Residents and Colleagues enjoyed singing and dancing to entertainer, David St John and afterwards enjoyed a lovely barbecue in the sunshine.
There was an ice-cream trolley full of a variety of different flavours including chocolate, salted caramel, raspberry and rainbow. All Residents enjoyed picking their choice of sauce and topping.
The Residents all commented saying that it has been lovely having entertainment after not being able to for a while. Many asked when the next part was!
The home is also celebrating Colleague Elizabeth Suite having received a HC-One Kindness in Care Award due to her care and compassion to those receiving end of life care.
Elizabeth has a gentle and kind approach to not just the Residents but family too.
Elizabeth commented, “It feels amazing to be recognised.”
Home Manager, Kerry Craddock, remarked, “I am so proud of a team that shows such kind care and compassion to Residents and their families.”
“Each Colleague receives a pin as well as a certificate which is being proudly displayed on Elizabeth herself.”
