Pendleton Court Residents visit the poppy day centreResidents at Pendleton Court care home, in Salford, Manchester regularly attend the fabulous ‘Singing for Dementia’ group at the local Poppy Day Centre, and this week they had another wonderful time

The home has an amazing support network in the Salford area for Residents. At the Poppy Day Centre they enjoy free entertainment and refreshments on arrival and can stay for a home-cooked lunch too, which caters to all dietary requirements.

Ian, who lives at Pendleton Court, used to be a hotelier and one of the things he enjoyed most about his role was that he used to encourage everyone to dance. And he did just that this week, in his element; dancing and making new friends in the community.

Fellow Resident Gwen loves getting out and about in the community and commented, “The day centre is wonderful as everyone is so friendly. I really like the home-cooked food, it’s gorgeous!”

Lesley, Wellbeing Coordinator, commented, “I try and get the Residents out as much as I can. It’s so important for their mental wellbeing and independence.”
