Perfume and lipstick making from Shard End care home ResidentsToday Colleagues at The Orchards care home, in Birmingham, organised a lipstick and perfume making session for Residents.

Residents took it in turns creating different scents and there was even a competition to see who’s smelt the best. Residents really enjoyed trying out a new activity.

On the afternoon, everyone involved spent a couple of hours listening to music and discussing their favourite makeup and perfume brands and where they originated from.

Resident Pauline said that she used to make perfumes when she was younger, out of the rose petals, and said that the day brought back lots of good memories for her.

Betty added that she couldn’t wait to wear her new lipstick over the Christmas period.

Connie and Keleigh, who organised the session, commented that I was, “A lovely day trying out a new activity. The Residents seemed to really enjoy it!”
