Planting flowers at Dukinfield care homeToday at The Beeches residential care home, in Dukinfield, two Residents joined Colleagues to spend some time in the garden planting flowers.

Christine and Ian, who both live at the home, enjoyed spending time in the garden with Wellbeing Coordinator, Sade, planting flowers that both of their families had bought for them to plant in the garden.

Safe said, “It was nice seeing them both enjoying an activity that they love and enjoyed doing when at home. Both families are so kind buying flowers for the home.”

Ian and Christine, with the help of the staff, will tend to the flowers throughout the summer months and over the next few weeks are going to help make the garden a nice place for visitors.

Christine remarked, “It’s been lovely getting out in the garden and planting the flowers.”

Ian added, “I have enjoyed doing the garden, it’s something I can keep myself busy with throughout the summer.”

Sade commented, “It has been a lovely morning helping both Ian and Christine plant in the garden, seeing them getting back to normal and having something to look forward too!”
