Platinum Jubilee preparations at Gittisham Hill HouseResidents at HC-One’s Gittisham Hill House residential, nursing and dementia care home, in Honiton, have started getting ready for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.

Jill, who is the home’s Wellbeing Coordinator bought the Union Jack bunting out of storage and it was in a very tangled mess. The Residents had great fun untangling and sorting the bunting out ready for it to be put up around the home and garden.

Everyone is looking forward to what the home has planned for the jubilee and Maintenance Colleague Chris is going to start putting the bunting up outside.

One of the Residents commented, “It was hard work, but good fun untangling the flags. The house and garden will look lovely when we get the bunting up.”

Julia Heneker, Care Home Manager, commented, “The Residents did a great job getting the bunting untangled ready to be put up around the home and garden.”
