Preparing for Remembrance Day at Hurst Cross care homeResidents at HC-One’s Kings Park care home, in Tameside, enjoyed journeying to their newly decorated in-care-home pub for a Remembrance themed activity session.

Hilary Hoyle, Olive Moss, Alice Cooper, Elizabeth Nightingale, Claire Cooke, Paula Whalley and Gordon Bowker joined in with making key rings and poppy decorations, using potato stamps whilst having a sing-along, washed down with some tea and cake. Those involved particularly enjoyed getting messy with the paints!

Elizabeth, who lives at the 40-bed nursing dementia care home, commented, “Everyone had a lovely afternoon!”

Fellow Resident Paula laughed and said, “I had a lovely time getting paint all over me!”

Lisa Joy, Home Manager, remarked, “It was lovely seeing Residents enjoying the remembrance activities in our lovely bar.”
