Pride tea party at Hindley care homeResidents at Carrington Court care home, which offers nursing care in Wigan, took part in a party today to celebrate Pride Month.

There were lots of dressing up, playing percussion instruments and singing along to music.

A buffet tea was also served, including sandwiches, quiche, pizza and a special pride themed cake. Residents also enjoyed a shandy, white wine of lemonade.

Colleagues got involved in the party atmosphere too and there was lots of laughter all around.

Derek, who lives at the home, said that he had enjoyed the party and wearing his wig!

Home Manager, Rebecca Asprey, remarked, “It was a lovely day, everyone enjoyed themselves and a big thank you to our chef, Denise, for the cakes.”

“The event prompted conversation about inclusivity and accepting everyone’s differences as a positive.”
