Primary school pupils delight Tameside Residents with garden visit to care homeResidents at HC-One’s Kings Park care home, in Ashton-under-Lyne, were delighted with a visit from Rosehill Methodist Primary school at the beginning of July.

Kings Park nursing dementia care home had the pleasure of the company of Rosehill Methodist Primary school’s year one pupils ‘Forest Group’ visit.

The children came to visit Residents and plant lots of beautiful flowers in some of the new outdoor planters so that they will flower throughout the coming months and provide a beautiful and colourful outdoor space for all to enjoy.

Pupils shared lots of gardening tips and the Residents were so happy to share their morning with such a respectful, kind, and happy group of children.

Residents were very pleased because the children involved had gifted the home a lovely red flowered plant which has taken pride of place at the front entrance of Kings Park.

One of the Residents at the 40-bed purpose-built home remarked, “We loved the little children.”

Lisa Joy, Care Home Manager, said, “What a lovely morning, the Residents were overjoyed to see all the children.”
