Random Acts of Kindness Day at Fosse Way ViewAt Fosse Way View care home, in Bingham, Nottingham, Colleagues and Residents celebrated Random Acts of Kindness Day by nominated others who had shown them some sort of kindness to others. 

Colleagues asked Residents, fellow staff members, family and friends to complete kindness nomination forms, where they were asked to nominate a fellow person to tell others about their acts of kindness. 

The home also hosted a coffee morning, where Residents enjoyed coffee and cakes, and all involved shared ways that they have experienced kindness in their lives. 

During the chat, those involved then shared with everyone the nominations that have been made, everyone who had been nominated were presented with a card, written in it was the wonderful comments that people had made about them.

Margaret Scott, who lives at the care home, described Carer Neema, “She is a night carer, she is the best for me. Very Jolly, knows my routine. But also is busy looking for things to tidy for example; towels without asking.”

Fellow Resident Christine Priestly, nominated Colleague Anson, and said, “Everything he does is from the heart, he is just very good.”

Trevor Lempard, who lives at the state of the art, luxury care home, commented, “It has been a lovely to hear all of the nice things that people have to say about each other.” 

Residents enjoyed the entire morning and said that they liked sharing their stories and presenting Colleagues with their cards. 

Clare Howarth, Resident Liaison and Admissions Manager, remarked, “It has been a lovely morning and really important for us to recognise all of the kind things which we do for each other.”
