Redesdale Court celebrating HC-One 10th BirthdayResidents and Colleagues at HC-One’s Redesdale Court, residential and memory care home, in North Shields held a fireworks themed day, in order to celebrate HC-One’s 10th birthday.

The celebrations started off with a themed newsletter delivered to all the Residents.

Lots of activities were planned, some which were: dipping marshmallows into chocolate and sprinkles during the food club and making bonfire handprint paintings. Activities were followed by the kitchen serving warm broth, jacket potatoes and treacle sponge pudding.

At 6pm the fireworks display started, as Residents watched from one of the comfort lounges. Gwen aged 100 and Hilda aged 102, the oldest Residents especially enjoyed the fireworks and birthday celebrations.

The room was decorated, and all Residents had treats which included: hot chocolate, homemade cinder toffee and fudge made by the Head Chef.

Residents loved the different colours of the fireworks. It was a fantastic night allowing all the staff and Residents to come together and celebrate a milestone.

One Resident, said, “Please could you thank whoever arranged tonight as I have thoroughly enjoyed myself.”

Daniel Ridley, Care Home Manager, commented, “A fantastic late-night activity which so many Residents enjoyed.”
