Remembrance week at Avalon ParkIt’s been a fun-filled week at Avalon Park residential dementia and nursing dementia care home, in Oldham, as many Residents have been taking part in activities themed around remembrance.

On Monday the 8th of November, Residents painted poppies on the windows of the home, and everyone really enjoyed this ready for remembrance.

Throughout the week, there were a number of activities for Residents to get involved in, including making spitfire planes and poppies, plus a party!

On Friday 12th November, Colleagues hosted a party, where many Residents put on their best dresses and hair scarfs.

The home also welcomed a lady singer, and she sang all the old songs!

Bernie Tullis, who is a Resident at the home, remarked, “We had an awesome time!”

Claire Munro, Home Manager, commented, “Everyone enjoyed the weeks activities and the Residents enjoyed dressing up.”
