Resident at Kendal care home goes back to her old place of workAnne, a Resident at Summerhill, residential, nursing and dementia care home in Kendal, was thrilled to go back to her old job for another day of work.

After the staff at Summerhill noticed that the Brewery Arts Centre were holding an open day, Anne was thrilled to pay a visit to see some of her old colleagues.

Anne worked at the Brewery Arts Centre for many years, as she turned the arts centre from a small cinema screen to a huge venue for music, art, food and was at the forefront of expanding the cinema itself.

The staff at Summerhill contacted the arts centre and they were on hand to give Anne and her sister a full tour of the venue she ran for so many years. Anne enjoyed having an explore and seeing how the venue was run without her being there.

Anne, commented, “It was lovely to see my old workplace and catch up with some former colleagues.”

Kathleen Dean, Care Home Manager, remarked, “Keeping Anne involved with somewhere so close to her heart was something we're really glad to have been a a part of.”
