Linda, one of the Residents at
Needham Court in Jarrow which offers residential and residential memory care, for those living with dementia, had her final radiotherapy treatment at the Freeman Hospital.
To mark this joyous occasion, all the patients get the chance to ring the bell in the hospital.
Linda got so excited to ring the bell and when she did, the whole department clapped and both Linda and Lisa Davison from the wellbeing team who supported Linda cried.
Joann Mills, Care Home Manager commented, “It is always lovely to hear that one of our Residents has had their final treatment as we are all one big family here at Needham Court and Linda can start looking towards the future”.
