Residents at Greenfield Park take an art classResidents at Greenfield Park, nursing care home, in Glasgow, were thrilled to take an art class held by artists Alan and Maria.

Helen, Betty, Annie and Janette from Finlay and Roselea Houses were very happy to be invited along to an art class to enjoy painting and drawing sunflowers.

As a task the Residents were challenged to paint Sunflowers by Van Gough, a very famous painting which was made in 1887.

At first the Residents looked through the Van Gough book for some inspiration, but all had their own ideas on how they wanted their pictures to look.

This activity was enjoyed by each of the Residents, they were very relaxed and enjoyed spending time with each other.

Sharon Miller, Care Home Manager, commented, “It was so lovely to see the engagement and the Residents finding their creative side in such a nice and relaxing environment.”
