Residents have been making bird feed for their local feathered friends over at HC-One’s Charters Court care home in East Grinstead.
They created delectable treats by spreading peanut butter on rice cakes and then dunking them into bird seed. Once ready, they attached string to the feeders and hung them on the trees in the garden.
Residents loved seeing the birds peck at their new snacks as they watched them through the windows of the home, enjoying a warm cup of tea after all their hard work.
Charters Court Home Manager, Melanie Wrightman, commented: “This activity is excellent of manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.”
