Residents at HC-One’s Silverwood care home in Rotherham recently got into the festive mood by painting some snowmen to put around the home in time for Christmas.
Silverwood care home are well and truly in the Christmas spirit as they plan to decorate the home as soon as control measures end. Residents are looking forward to a lovely Christmas this year after such a tough 2020 and were over the moon to learn that they would be painting their own little snowmen.
Residents Sheila, chose to paint her snowman in a typical white, with Rotherham United colours, red and black, which was in memory of her late husband, who supported Rotherham.
“I have painted my snowman in Rotherham United colours, in my husband’s memory,” said Sheila.
Colleagues have planned for a fun filled, nonstop, festive celebration this year after going through such a tough time during the coronavirus pandemic, but they are definitely going to make up for it.
Silverwood Home Manager, Carrie Davies said: “We are going to have the best Christmas after such a terrible year. We can’t wait!”
